Hickory Ridge is a 41 unit project built on a 1:1 slope in the foothills of the Pagosa Springs Mountains. The foundations of the buildings were benched and blasted into the hillside with unpredictable soil and environmental conditions. Pagosa Springs’s real estate values skyrocketed through the early 2000′s making it impossible to for local people to afford homes in the area. This housing is only the second affordable project in the area, providing much needed assistance to the local workers and residents.
